GPT-6 and Intelligent UI: ChatGPT answers with more than text
ChatGPT now has GPT-6 and an interface that builds interactive charts, forms, calculators and even simple games inside the chat.
OpenAI has shipped GPT-6 in ChatGPT along with Intelligent UI, a new way of answering. Instead of a wall of text, the model can show an interactive element you use right in the conversation.
What’s new
Answers can now include buttons, forms, charts, diagrams and maps. OpenAI’s examples include:
- a recipe that rescales ingredients for the number of guests;
- checklists and multiple-choice follow-up questions;
- small tools: a calculator, a bill splitter, a simple game.
The model can also start answering while it’s still thinking, so responses appear sooner. You can dial back the amount of visuals in settings.
Who gets it
GPT-6 Sol began rolling out on October 7 to Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise. GPT-6 Luna for Free and Go was promised the next day.
Limitations
GPT-6 applies only to the Chat tab: the models for Work and Codex haven’t changed. Usage limits by plan aren’t given in the coverage.
