Claude Dashboards and Motion, plus free Docs and Slides

On October 8, Anthropic added two beta features to Claude and opened its document, slide and design tools to the free plan.
What’s new
- Dashboards (beta, paid plans). Claude builds dashboards from company data and keeps them current. It works with BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake and tools like Salesforce.
- Motion (beta, Team and Enterprise). Short animated explainers you can download as MP4. The animation is built as editable code rather than generated as video.
- Docs, Slides and Design. They’ve left beta and are available on every plan, including Free. Design has moved into Claude, and the standalone claude.ai/design site stays up until December 14.
How to try it
Describe a dashboard in plain language, for example: “Build a dashboard of this quarter’s revenue by region.” Click any number to see the query behind it, and each chart shows its last refresh time. For an animation, type /motion in the message box.
Limitations
On Enterprise, Dashboards and Motion are off by default until an admin enables them in organization settings. Sending dashboards to Looker and Tableau is listed as coming soon.
